Emergency Medical Service

The Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District provides advanced life support care for the persons living and working within the corporate limits of the Fire District.  This level of care is provided on a 24/7 basis by state licensed Emergency Medical Technicians, licensed at the paramedic level by the Illinois Department of Public Health.  These personnel staff the advanced life support Medic Unit and an advanced life support Engine as response volume warrants. 

Additionally, the advanced life support program is operated under the guidelines of the Good Samaritan Hospital system, which requires all personnel to secure continuing education in emergency care and biannual re-certification.
