Fire Prevention Bureau

The Fire Prevention Bureau of the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District is responsible for many aspects of public safety and well being, including, but not limited to, code enforcement, life safety, inspections, fire systems and life safety plan reviews.  

Additionally, fire prevention, life safety and public education,  including off-site programs, classes, tours and events are also administered by the Fire Prevention Bureau. 

The Fire Prevention Bureau takes a pro-active approach to life safety by reviewing all commercial building permit requests for conformance with the following Codes and Ordinances.
